Black Label 5-1
This boar is the sire of the majority of our young sow herd. We acquired a breeding interest after seeing him at Hi Points Open House in the fall of 2008. He is extra heavy structured, wide based and has the ability to generate muscle mass with flexibility of skeleton, a rare combination. 5-1 mother is one of the most productive sows that Brent has owned. She is also the mother of Homegrown. 5-1 has worked extremely well on our Sweet Tea and Quiet Giant sow lines. He sired out boar Buried Alive, Asleep – At the Wheel, Black Tie, and a boar we sold to Grenview Farms. On the Barrow Front 5-1 sired the re Champion 2009 Iowa, The Res Champion Hamp at the 2010 WPX and several county and regional winners. We have 25 daughters that are the back bone of our young sow herd.

Buried Alive
Buried Alive was the $19,000 2nd top selling Hamp boar the 2010 World Pork Expo. We retained a breeding interest in him when he sold to cutting Edge, Jerry McLemore, and Newcastle Genetics. He has extra muscle mass, good bone, and a real "show ring look" We have used him on our older, bigger statured sows that we used his sire Black Label 5-1 on previously. His offspring were well accepted this spring and have feed well and be consistent in there placing at the summer shows.

Big Rig
Big Rig is the sire of several outstanding young sows in our herd. He was bred by Jim and Mike McCoy and we used him extensively during the 2010 breeding season. His strength is his heavy structured, robust body dimension, and his pigs ability to grown and hold up in normal production facilities. His daughters are proving to be excellent mothers, able to wean large, uniform litters of robust pigs. He has been a positive influence within our herd.

Frozen In Time
We raise this boar and exhibited him at the 2010 fall classic at Duncan. Wes Barone from California purchased him and placed him at SGI. We then purchased a semen contract and have used him on selected Quiet Giant, Black Label 5-1 and Sweet Tea sows. His mother is one of our foundation sows and his sire is the 1990's John Soouholtz boar, Dynamite, That boar built his reputation on sound, fast growing, functional hogs that dominated the Iowa Test Stations thru the mid 1990's. We have great confidence in this young boar's ability to generate heavy boned. Moderate, correct, Hampshires that are wide based and productive. His dam is highly productive and has contributed several promising young sows to our herd, Including 5 sisters to Frozen-In-Time. We have an exceptional set of April gilts and show boar prospects in our grower from Frozen's First litters.

Black Bear
We purchased a breeding interest in two young Hampshire boars this springs from the good herd of Ed and Brad Mortenson of Michigan. Black Bear is a son of Huggy Bear and out of a Black Tea X Happy Ending Female. This makes him a line bred Caboose as well a line bred Cicata. We have used this boar extensively for summer litters and the baby pigs look exciting!!

Bushwood
This is the second of the pair of Mortenson boars we are using. His sire is Augusta from McLemores. Bushwood's mother is highly regarded by Brad and is emerging as an elite Hampshire Female. Bushwood has the massive bone, chest width, muscle and moderate frame size that have made the Augusta bred hogs so highly prized this summer. We have used Bushwood on several elite sows this spring.

Tight Rope
We purchased a breeding interest in this Jerry McLemore bred boars from Cutting Edge in the spring of 2010 after seeing him in quarantine at Ron's. He was a class winning boar at the 2010 southwest type conference and impressed us with his foot size, looseness of skeleton, massive rib, and overall balance. He is the largest framed of our current herd sires, but still maintains natural body width and muscle mass in a very functional package. He sired the Champion Hamp and Grand Overall Barrow at the 2011 WPX Jr. show and several gilt that fed and placed well at the NJSA shows this summers. The breeding ability of McLemore Hampshire is well documents and we intend to use this boar on a number Black Label 5-1, Buried Alive, and Frozen-in-time Females.
Predator
We would like to thank Mike Watson for allowing us to use his breeding boar Predator. His pedigree, correctness of feed and legs and levelness of design are attributed we wanted to intensify in our sow herd. We bred thee of our best sows to Predator this spring to produce replacement females and mike was good enough to sell us a breeding interest for fall and early winter litters. We are really excited about stabilizing this boar maternal characteristic in our sow herd. Predator sired the Champion Hampshire and the Grand Overall Purebred barrow at the 2011 Mo State Fair that we raised!!
